Yousif Ahmad is an Interventional Cardiologist with specific expertise in treating both chronic total occlusions (CTO) and the most complex coronary lesion subsets, as well as performing structural heart interventions for valvular heart disease.

He completed the majority of his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in the U.K. where he was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. He undertook his General and Interventional Cardiology training at The Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London and holds a PhD in aortic and coronary physiology at Imperial College London. His thesis focused on the interaction between coronary hemodynamics and aortic stenosis and his research saw him awarded the American Heart Association Samuel A. Levine Young Clinical Investigator Award, EuroPCR Young Investigator Award and American College of Cardiology Young Author Achievement Award.
