HFSA offers members the opportunity to gain a fellowship designation with the FHFSA program, open to all members who meet the minimum requirements.
HFSA has developed a Heart Failure Certification (HF-Cert™) program to recognize providers who have demonstrated specialized knowledge and skill to provide competent heart failure services in the United States.
The Optimal Medical Therapy in Heart Failure Certificate Program (OMT-HF) gives healthcare providers who do not specialize in heart failure the opportunity to learn about therapies, dosing and prescription optimization to better manage their heart failure patients.
HFSA sponsors participation in the National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP) Medical Specialties Matching Program (MSMP) for Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology (AHFTC) fellowships and the American Association of Medical Colleges Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS®) for AHFTC residencies.
