Dr. Berei graduated from Drake University in 2014. He then went on to complete his PGY1 residency at NorthShore University Health system in Evanston, Illinois followed by his PGY2 cardiology residency at Abbbott Northwestern Hospital/Minneapolis Heart Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Afterwards, he accepted a role as a clinical pharmacist at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics on the Advanced Heart Failure team. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Berei assists with various courses at the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and precepts students and residents. He has presented both locally and nationally on a variety of heart failure topics. He has also published a selection of manuscripts and abstracts related to the specialty, most recently authoring continuing education materials for ACCPs cardiology recertification program. His research interests include decongestion strategies and mechanical circulatory support.
