Earnings are related to net worth, but debt, spending habits, expenses, and investments also play a huge role. On the whole, some interesting insights emerged, showing that physicians are often better planners and smarter with their money than some people might think. The Medscape survey, which included responses from 19,183 physicians across 26 specialties, gives a full financial picture of the professionals in the medical field.
