Dr. Parag Goyal MD MSc FACC FHFSA is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine with joint appointments in the Division of Cardiology (as a member of the heart failure faculty) and the Division of General Internal Medicine (as a core member of the health services research faculty). Dr. Goyal is the Founding Director of the Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) Program and is the Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Goyal’s research program is focused on improving outcomes and wellbeing in older adults with heart failure.  Notable ongoing work includes characterization of geriatric conditions in heart failure, conceptualization of reserve and resilience in heart failure, and the development and implementation of N-of-1 trials to promote shared decision making and medication optimization in heart failure.  His research program has been supported by grants from the National Institute on Aging (R03, K76), the American Heart Association (Innovative Project Award and Career Development Award), the Fan Fox & Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, and the New York Community Trust.  Nationally, Dr. Goyal is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, where he recently served as the Chair of the Geriatric Cardiology Early Career Professionals Working Group.  In addition to serving as the Geriatric Cardiology Section Editor for the Journal of Cardiac Failure, Dr. Goyal also serves on the Editorial Boards for the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society and JACC-Advances.
