LVAD Innovation and Tribulations

This session reviews current and emerging mechanical circulatory support options, including next-generation LVADs and total artificial heart systems, and how they impact patient care. Faculty will cover common LVAD-related complications and practical approaches to management.

The session will also address anticoagulation and antiplatelet strategies, focusing on how to balance bleeding and clotting risks in LVAD patients.
