HF Stats 2026: A Deep Dive For Heart Failure Care, Research, and Advocacy
Heart Failure Statistics is more than a report—it is the data infrastructure that underpins heart failure care and informs the full spectrum of topics presented at ASM. This session highlights how HF Stats provides the epidemiologic foundation for clinical innovations, treatment strategies, and system-level interventions across the heart failure continuum.
Using a problem-driven format, faculty will address four critical questions relevant to clinical practice and policy: Why are younger patients experiencing worse outcomes? Where do gaps in care drive disparities? Which populations require focused attention? And how can data be translated into advocacy and action?
The session will also highlight new 2026 HF Stats content shaping ASM programming, including cardiogenic shock, heart failure in cancer survivors, pregnancy and postpartum populations, workforce, genetics, and devices.
Learning Objectives
- Describe current trends in heart failure incidence and mortality, including outcomes in younger populations.
- Identify key disparities in heart failure care across geographic, racial, and treatment domains.
- Apply heart failure data to inform clinical practice, research priorities, and advocacy efforts.
