Living with Purpose: Strategies for Living Well
Martha Abshire Saylor, PhD, RN
Living well is a goal for all of us and our families. No matter who we are, patients, caregivers, or providers, even with health limitations, there are still ways that all of us can improve our physical and mental health. Small habits such as noticing the good things that come our way each day, expressing gratitude, and deep breathing can improve our outlook. Making small, healthy lifestyle changes over time can result in improved quality of life and even extend lifespan. Making these changes as a family can also have multi-generational benefits. In this workshop-style discussion, we will explore how values drive an overall motivation and life purpose. Then, we will talk about how identifying one's life purpose can help us set priorities for healthy choices.
