Next Steps: Exploring Medication, Devices, and Advanced Therapies

This discussion will focus on the continuum of heart failure care. We will first focus on the rationale and evidence behind quadruple guideline-directed medications as well as discuss add-on therapies for specific populations. We will then focus on device-based therapy in the treatment of heart failure, exploring those devices that have been shown to help reduced hospitalizations, improve quality of life, or lengthen survival. We will end with a discussion on advanced therapies. This will include a discussion on what these therapies are, who qualifies for these therapies, and the evaluation process that patients go through to become candidates.
