Mosi Bennett MD PhD is a partner and senior consulting cardiologist specializing in heart failure and heart transplantation at Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute (MHI). He is the Vice Chair of Cardiovascular Services at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He is also the Medical Director of outpatient heart failure. His clinical focus is on mechanical circulatory support, critical care cardiology, invasive hemodynamics, care of patients with transplanted heart, mechanical circulatory support, and chronic heart failure management. His expertise centers on the acute management of heart failure, innovations in cardiovascular medicine, and heart failure device and remote monitoring therapies. He has served as the principal investigator for several large multi-center clinical trials investigating the effectiveness of remote monitoring of pulmonary artery pressures in patients with heart failure. He directs several cardiovascular service line programs including an immediate post hospital discharge heart failure clinic, a chronic heart failure management program, and a remote pulmonary artery pressure sensor program.
Dr. Bennett is interested in understanding and eliminating health disparities. He was awarded an Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation Clinical Innovation Grant for the Minneapolis Heart Institute and Community Clinic Partnership Initiative. He later received the Robert G. Hauser Leadership Award for his work on improving access to cardiovascular care and health equity.
