Kelly Bosak, PhD, APRN, ANP-BC I am Associate Professor and Nurse Scientist at the University of Kansas School of Nursing. I am also a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with clinical experience in Cardiology. Since joining the KU SON faculty, I received the NIH K12 research career development award; participated in the Clinical and Translational Science Award post-doctoral research practicum at Mayo Clinic; and received pilot funding from the KUMC Research Institute to test constructs of Social Cognitive Theory and the brain-behavior connections underlying exercise adherence.  
 
My research focus is exercise interventions facilitated by digital health technology. I am also interested in patient-centered research methods, including pragmatic trials, and implementation and dissemination of clinical guideline recommendations. My goals are to support positive health behaviors to improve outcomes for individuals with chronic cardiometabolic conditions, including heart failure. The ultimate goal of my research is translation of health behavior interventions to clinical practice.
