Studies examining cardiovascular structure, function, and reserve from adolescence through older adulthood, including determinants of healthy cardiovascular aging. - Menopause, Reproductive Aging, and Heart Failure Risk
Research evaluating the relationship between natural, premature, and surgical menopause and the development, progression, and outcomes of heart failure. - Hormonal Transitions and Cardiovascular Remodeling
Investigations into the effects of hormonal changes on myocardial structure and function, vascular health, metabolism, inflammation, and heart failure pathophysiology. - Menopausal Hormone Therapy and Cardiovascular Health
Clinical and translational studies examining the role of hormone therapy in preserving cardiovascular health and influencing heart failure risk and outcomes. - Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction and Cardiometabolic Health in Women
Research focused on sex-specific mechanisms, prevention strategies, phenotypes, and treatment approaches for HFpEF and related cardiometabolic conditions. - Pregnancy, Reproductive Health, and Lifetime Cardiovascular Risk
Studies addressing pregnancy-related cardiovascular complications, adverse pregnancy outcomes, reproductive factors, and their implications for future heart failure risk. - Cardiomyopathies, Genetics, and Sex-Specific Biology
Research exploring inherited and acquired cardiomyopathies, genetic determinants of disease, and biologic mechanisms unique to women. - Exercise Physiology, Functional Capacity, and Cardiovascular Resilience
Studies evaluating physical activity, cardiorespiratory fitness, exercise interventions, and determinants of cardiovascular function across the lifespan. - Cancer Survivorship, Treatment-Related Menopause, and Heart Failure
Research addressing the cardiovascular consequences of cancer therapies, treatment-induced ovarian dysfunction, premature menopause, and long-term survivorship. - Sex Differences in Heart Failure Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment

In line with our core values at JCF, we encourage multi-disciplinary collaborations (e.g., pharmacists, nurses, physicians) and emphasize inclusion of the patient voice/perspective.
We also consider inclusion of diverse and representative co-authors a priority. Along these lines, JCF aims to feature, promote and highlight women, underrepresented minorities, and early career individuals.
