Joban Vaishnav is an advanced heart failure/transplant cardiologist and Director of the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Amyloidosis Center. Dr. Vaishnav earned her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she also completed fellowships in cardiology and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. Dr. Vaishnav is extremely dedicated to the care of patients with advanced heart failure and cardiac amyloidosis. In her role as Director of the JHU Comprehensive Amyloidosis Center, she collaborates with a large multidisciplinary team in the care of patients with cardiac amyloidosis. She is partaking in ongoing multicenter amyloidosis clinical trials. Her personal research interests include investigating novel disease mechanisms and treatment response in transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis. She has received grant funding from Pfizer and the Amyloidosis Foundation.
