The Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) is pleased to announce that the official 2015 Impact Factors (IF) were recently released, and the Journal of Cardiac Failure (JCF) has increased its IF from the 2014 IF of 3.051 to 3.259.  JCF ranks 40th of 124 in the Cardiac & Cardiovascular Systems category.

Journal Impact Factor is from Journal Citation Report (JCR), a product of Thomson ISI (Institute for Scientific Information). JCR provides quantitative tools for evaluating journals. The impact factor is a measure of the frequency with which the "average article" in a journal has been cited in a given period of time. The impact factor for a journal is calculated based on a three-year period, and can be considered to be the average number of times published papers are cited up to two years after publication.

JCF has continued to work hard for this achievement, through thoughtful structuring of its editorial pages, dedicated Focus Issues on key topic areas, and continuing growth in our international presence. HFSA would like to thank both the previous Editor in Chief, Dr. Gary Francis, who served until the end of 2014, and JCF's current Editor in Chief, Dr. Paul J. Hauptman, and Senior Associate Editor, Dr. Michael Rich. Their excellent service and work have helped JCF gain its current standings and continue to aid its growth.
