Join Us for the HFSA Devices Meeting 2026: Advancing the Future of Heart Failure Care
Dear Colleagues,
As heart failure care continues to evolve, device-based therapies are increasingly transforming how we diagnose, monitor and treat our patients. From remote monitoring technologies and cardiac contractility modulation to advanced pumps and emerging device innovations, clinicians are faced with exciting opportunities and complex decisions regarding when, how and for whom these therapies should be deployed.
That is why I am pleased to invite you to attend the HFSA Devices Meeting 2026, taking place on October 9, in Phoenix, Arizona right before the start of HFSA’s Annual Scientific Meeting 2026. This unique, one-day educational experience is designed for healthcare professionals who want a deeper understanding of the rapidly expanding role of devices in heart failure.
The HFSA Devices Meeting 2026 is organized by members of the HFSA Devices Committee and chaired by Dr. Marat Fudim. Dr. Fudim defines the vision for this meeting as follows: “Device-based therapies are no longer a niche part of heart failure care. They are becoming central to how we diagnose, monitor and treat our patients. I am excited about this meeting because it brings together clinicians, researchers, industry partners, and innovators who share a common goal: moving promising technologies from concept to clinical impact. This meeting is about practical implementation, thoughtful patient selection and building the programs needed to make device-based heart failure care work in the real world.”
This year’s Devices Meeting will include diverse forums for education, practical learning and networking opportunities. There will be an exhibit hall with the latest device technologies shaping the future of heart failure care – and maybe even some fun. Trial Tinder and Heart Tank sessions will feature active or emerging device trials that will be pitched to the audience, with the most appealing trial crowned at the end. Discussion Forum sessions will provide attendees with opportunities to engage directly with experts and industry representatives through equipment demonstrations and open-mic discussions on practical issues. Topics will include when to use right heart catheterization and exercise testing, how to choose between cardiac contractility modulation and Barostim therapies, and how to select the most appropriate remote monitoring solution for individual patients and programs, when to trigger device-based therapy, strategies for measuring and treating congestion, and practical approaches for building device and remote monitoring clinics.
The meeting also offers unparalleled opportunities to network with innovators across the heart failure device ecosystem. Dedicated exhibit hall time will allow attendees to explore current and emerging technologies while engaging directly with device manufacturers and technology developers. In addition, two industry-inclusive sessions will showcase companies launching new clinical trials and organizations currently conducting active studies. For clinicians interested in research participation, these sessions provide a valuable opportunity to identify potential collaborations and learn about upcoming investigational therapies. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with peers from across the heart failure community, share experiences, discuss implementation challenges, and develop relationships that can foster future collaboration. As our field becomes increasingly multidisciplinary, these connections are essential to advancing innovation and improving patient care.
Altogether, the HFSA Devices Meeting 2026 offers a focused, immersive opportunity to stay at the forefront of these advancements while gaining practical knowledge that can immediately benefit patients and practices alike. I encourage you to join us in October for this exceptional educational experience. Whether you are an experienced heart failure specialist, an emerging leader in device-based care, or a member of the multidisciplinary team seeking to expand your expertise, you will find valuable insights, meaningful connections and actionable strategies to advance your work.
See you in Phoenix!
