My year as HFSA President has officially ended and President Biykem Bozkurt, MD, PhD, will lead our organization for the next 12 months. I am certain great strides will evolve over the next year with Biykem’s leadership and the HFSA staff team at the helm. I want to sincerely thank the membership for the privilege and responsibility entrusted in me to provide stewardship for our society. HFSA is a wonderful society with rich tradition and a very bright future and will surely have significant growth, impact and member value in the next 5 years.
I want to encourage all members to be active and engaged and the society will be working to create new opportunities for members to be involved. Last year, I encouraged all to engage in Twitter and you all broke the records for by a wide margin for Tweets at the 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting .
Also, my sincere thanks to all members for making the 23rd HFSA Annual Scientific Meeting a huge success with record attendance 3,003, active participation throughout, and a very strong finish for a standing room only appearance by Shaq!
Look below for some highlights from year as HFSA President.
