Dear Ms. Blair,
We apologize for the delay in responding to the Heart Failure Society of America's (HFSA) request to collaborate on the next iteration of a heart failure guideline. It is with great pleasure that we invite the HFSA to be a full partner with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) on the development of the next full revision. We would title it, ACC/AHA/HFSA Guideline for the Management of Heart Failure, as we value the HFSA's expertise on this important guideline topic.
Please note that we don't anticipate that a full revision will be needed in the near future, but welcome your input if you believe that new evidence would modify a portion of the recently published guidelines. We look forward to the participation of your o rganization in this multisocietal effort. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey L. Anderson, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.H.A.
