Heart Failure Seminar: Focus on Genetics and Cardiomyopathies
June 04, 2026 | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ET | Virtual Livestream; OnDemand to follow
Join us for the HFSA Heart Failure Seminar: Focus on Genetics and Cardiomyopathies. Genetic cardiomyopathies and channelopathies (GCMs) are estimated to account for nearly 20% of heart failure cases in the U.S., yet fewer than 2% of eligible patients undergo genetic testing.
This session will highlight the REIMAGINE-HF Phase I Initiative, a nationwide HFSA-led analysis conducted in collaboration with Labcorp/Invitae using de-identified data from more than 248,000 patients tested between 2015–2025. Faculty will review the rapid growth of cardio-genetic testing, key actionable genes identified, and ongoing gaps in access and representation. The session will also discuss how REIMAGINE-HF data and dashboard infrastructure will support future implementation efforts focused on equitable, guideline-based screening for GCMs.
This seminar is now available OnDemand for purchase in the HFSA Learning Center.
The HFSA Heart Failure Seminar: Focus on Genetics and Cardiomyopathies is part of the HFSA’s ongoing Focus On seminar series which brings together healthcare providers (HCPs) on key topics.
