Dr. Benjamin Wang is the cardiac intensive care unit and pulmonary hypertension clinical pharmacist at Stanford Health Care. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of the Pacific and completed a postgraduate year one pharmacy practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. Prior to joining Stanford, Ben pioneered an advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support pharmacist position at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara. He assisted in building the first durable left ventricular assist device, acute mechanical circulatory support, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation program in the Northern California region. In his current role, he enjoys multidisciplinary collaboration, working with medical residents and pharmacy learners, as well as participating in clinical research. He maintains a board certification in cardiology pharmacy and his research interests include anticoagulation, heart failure pharmacotherapy, and practice-based research.
