Heart Failure 2008 - Update for the Primary Care Physician Symposium
What To Do and When: Managing Heart Failure in 2008
Saturday, February 9, 2008
DoubleTree Hotel
New Orleans, Louisiana
Heart failure is pandemic in the United States. Moreover, its prevalence will increase dramatically in
the United States over the next several decades. In view of the unacceptable high mortality, economic
burden and severe impact on quality of life, improved management of patients with heart failure (or those
who are at risk) is essential. This conference will focus on strategies for early recognition, prevention and
optimal management of heart failure. It is designed to provide insight into mechanisms of disease and how various therapeutic
strategies and treatments impact the clinical course. The information
will be presented as clinical vignettes in a case-based format by renowned faculty to help primary care physicians
approach heart failure (and its prevention) in their practice with increased confidence.
