About The Course

This 2.5 day CME course will be designed to meet your learning needs. The course will provide an extensive summary of all aspects of heart failure including epidemiology, causes of HF, pathophysiology, evaluation, management of HF (outpt/inpt), comorbidities, cardiac surgery, heart transplant, mechanical circulatory support and PAH. Lectures will offer insight on how to think through Board questions and prepare for the exam. The curriculum will also provide a comprehensive and in-depth review for attendees not planning to take the Board exam.

The program will include a combination of didactic lectures and case based presentations with emphasis on guidelines, knowledge, and practice management multiple choice questions. An Audio Response System (ARS) will be used to compare your answers with your peers and faculty experts.

To help with travel plans the course is scheduled to run from 7:45 AM-6:00 PM Friday 10/1/10; 7:30 AM-6:00 PM Saturday 10/2/10; and 7:30 AM-NOON Sunday 10/3/10.

The Heart Failure Society of America is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Heart Failure Society of America designates this activity for a maximum of 22 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
